Entrepreneur School

This is it—the final episode in our Vanity Metrics Detox series. And, oof, we’re ending with a big one: the myth that visibility should create instant results.

Been here for all four episodes?

You’ve learned how to let go of performative visibility, focus on what actually moves the needle, and track what works. Now we’re bringing it all together and detoxing the expectation that visibility should be instant, flashy, and fast.

Spoiler alert: Visibility isn’t linear. It’s not immediate. But it is a compound effect.

In this episode, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my own 90-day visibility sprint. I’m breaking down how I tracked my actions, built momentum, and got off the hamster wheel of random marketing. This is how you build confidence as a CEO—not by doing more, but by knowing what works.

And, I introduce you to my new AI-powered sidekick: Valerie, the Visibility Auditor. She’s like your return-on-effort calculator—minus the spreadsheets and overwhelm.

So grab your coffee (or wine—I don’t judge), and let’s get clear on why tracking your visibility is everything.

You’ll discover:

  • Why visibility almost never produces instant results (and why that’s OK!)
  • How a 90-day visibility sprint gives you data-driven confidence
  • The truth about the compound effect of visibility (hint: it all adds up)
  • Why tracking your visibility is the missing link to real momentum
  • How Valerie, the Visibility Auditor, helps you reflect, score your efforts, and focus on what actually works
  • How to stop spinning your wheels and finally see your marketing ROI

She's helping you build a weekly visibility habit, track actions, impact and momentum, take strategic action without overseeing or overthinking, and finally, see the ROI of your marketing.

Kelly Sinclair:

This is the entrepreneur school podcast, where we believe you can run a thriving business and still make your family a priority. This show is all about supporting you, the emerging or early stage Entrepreneur on your journey from solopreneur to CEO while wearing all of the other hats in your life. My name is Kelly Sinclair, and I'm a brand and marketing strategist who started a business with two kids under three. I'm a corporate PR girl turned entrepreneur after I learned the hard way that life is too short to waste doing things that burn you out on this show, you'll hear inspiring stories from other business owners on their journey and learn strategies to help you grow a profitable business while making it all fit into the life that you want. Welcome to entrepreneur School.

Kelly Sinclair:

Welcome back entrepreneur school podcast. This is the final episode in our four part vanity metrics detox series, and today we are detoxing the idea that visibility should produce instant results. And have you been with me since the beginning of the series? You've heard how we are flipping the script on what visibility really means. We talked about letting go of performative actions, focusing on what moves the needle, tracking what works and building momentum with every win. And now we are bringing it all together, because when you commit to 90 days or one quarter of focused, intentional visibility, you can create real results and see the data that you need to inform your decisions moving forward, and I want to start with a truth bomb, most visibility doesn't produce results right away, and that's not a bad thing either. We just live in this culture of instant gratification, post a reel, get a dopamine hit, send an email, wait for replies. We are trained to expect quick feedback. But visibility isn't always linear. It's rarely immediate, and it is a compound effect.

Kelly Sinclair:

So let me take you behind the scenes for a second. Last year, I set a goal to focus my visibility efforts for 90 days. I didn't just mean being active, I meant being strategic. I tracked every action, I made, podcast pitches, sent emails, showed up in collaborations, hosted workshops, reached out to past clients, followed up on networking opportunities. It wasn't flashy, it definitely wasn't perfect, but it was intentional and focused. And here's what happened. The fog lifted, I could finally see what was paying off and what wasn't. I wasn't spinning my wheels anymore, and I had clarity, confidence and momentum, because that short 90 day period of intentional visibility, it doesn't just build the habit. It really does build confidence as a business owner. It quiets the second guessing. It shifts you from reactive to proactive, and it gives you your power back. And that first 90 days turns into the next 90 days, and all of a sudden, you've had a clear, intentional visibility strategy every quarter for the whole year, and you know exactly what to do now. Know exactly what moves the needle when you track for at least 90 days. You build a habit, you stay accountable, you learn what works for your business, and you get out of the guess and grind cycle. Because here's the thing, you're already putting in the effort, but if you're not measuring it, you can't manage it, and you definitely can't improve it, right? And when you have a system that helps you stay consistent and reflect weekly, that's when that magic compounds, and that's why I built my AI powered tool Valerie. Valerie the visibility auditor. And I think she has a theme song. What's that one? Why don't you come on over, Valerie. You guys, don't worry, I won't sing it very again. Think of Valerie like your return on effort calculator. If you've ever spent hours making content or pitching something and thought was that even worth it? Valerie is going to tell you, she is designed to make sure that you're not just showing up, but you're building something that pays off. You don't need an other thing to add to your to do list. You need someone or something that helps you figure out what's actually worth doing. So she is more than a tracker. She. Is a strategic partner, and every week, she helps you reflect on what you did, score your efforts for impact, see the pattern of what's creating opportunities, and decide what to do more of and what to ditch, because you don't need to do everything. You just need to do the right things consistently. This is the part I have to repeat. And if you listen to all these episodes back to back, I'm going to start to sound like a parrot here, like just echoing this back. But visibility isn't about doing more. It's about knowing what works for you and then doing that with intention. And the longer that you track, the clearer things become. That one opportunity that you thought didn't lead to anything. Turns out, it brought someone onto your list who then replied to your email and then booked a call and then bought your coaching program. It all adds up, but only if you're paying attention.

Kelly Sinclair:

So sometimes you don't know what you're doing is working. And I tend to feel this way a lot when it comes to my podcast, especially, but then I get messages like this. I had to read this email to you. Here is a direct quote as a transitioning entrepreneur and loyal listener to the entrepreneur school podcast, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible value that you bring through your episodes. Your engaging style and insightful strategies shared have been a source of inspiration for me as I navigate the journey of entrepreneurship, the balance you emphasize between business growth and family priorities deeply resonates with me, and it's comforting to know that others are walking similar paths. The milestone of your 100th episode is a testament to the impact you've made in this space, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be part of the community that you've built from episode one, one day, I hope to take part in one of your visibility programs. That's the goal I'm working towards as I carve out my new journey. Post having our company time for a new vision. Thank you for the light you bring to this often challenging road. Your work inspires and motivates me to continue building with intention and purpose. Paris, huge shout out to Paris. Probably my number one listener, love that I have actually met you in real life. And anybody out there who's listening to this who hasn't made contact with me. I so appreciate it. Please do please reach out. I am.

Kelly Sinclair:

I'm a real human. I build robots now, but I am a real human, and I just want to celebrate you now, because you have made it through this entire series, and if your wheels are turning, that means that you are ready to take real strategic action. So I am beyond excited to officially release Valerie, the visibility auditor, to you. She's helping you build a weekly visibility habit. Track actions, impact and momentum, take strategic action without overseeing or overthinking, and finally, see the ROI of your marketing. And she will do it in just a few minutes a week. Honestly, I've been playing with this tool, and I am so impressed with the results, I basically cloned myself into a custom GPT so you can get my advice on your strategy any step along the way, because I think it's so important that every business owner understands how to strategically get more visible to meet the goals that you have for your business. This is not an optional element, and while you may have gone into business to do something other than marketing, in fact, I know that you did. You soon realized that marketing was a huge part of your role, and my goal is to help it take less of your time, because we want it to be the most effective visibility and marketing strategy that you could possibly use in the least amount of time possible. And that's why this tool is going to help you assess that and give you the score and the suggestions on how to move forward with real intentional strategy. And the best part is that you can get lifetime access to Valerie well, for as long as chat GPT works properly, so asterisks on that, but permanent access. It's not a subscription, it's just one time payment of $90. Yeah, you heard me $90 Canadian. So that's like not very many US dollars, let me tell you. And that means you'll have her support, not just for one quarter, but for every season of your business. Valerie is built to support you across every season of business, whether you're growing fast, you're shifting directions, you're trying to stay visible with a limited time. She's there to help you focus on what works and let go of what doesn't. But I am limiting this price point. I'm only offering it to the first 100 purchasers, and then it will go up.

Kelly Sinclair:

So if you've been listening to the episodes, if you're thinking, I'm definitely willing to fork out 90 bucks to try this out, then don't wait. Take a moment to set yourself up for the next 90 days with massive clarity and confidence. Imagine yourself three months from now, no more second guessing, no more scrambling to keep up. Instead, you're tracking your visibility, watching your momentum grow, and feeling totally in control of how your business is showing up and growing. That is what Valerie is here for, to walk alongside you week after week, helping you do what's working and guiding your next move. Don't let this be one of those tools that you meant to check out the price is going to go up after the first 100 purchases, and I want you to be one of the founders who gets in early locks in that lifetime access and start seeing the payoff fast. So why? Why did I price it as low as $90 well, I have mentioned many times, and I want you to spend 90 days building your visibility habit and really refining it to have the best measurable ROI. And so it's going to cost you $1 a day to build a habit, and once that 90 days is up, you maintain access to Valerie for free. Plus the first five people to sign up will get a special bonus tool that will make your visibility planning even easier. So check the link in the show notes to grab your spot. Now, let this be your next visibility win. And remember, visibility is not a one time action. It's a habit, it's a mindset, and it's your job as the CEO of your business. You've got this and I will be here every step of the way. Bye for now.
