BIG NEWS: Entrepreneur School is officially stepping into the AI era!

I know, I know. I’m a PR and branding person, not a tech bro. Stepping into this role has been a journey full of imposter syndrome and “what the hell am I doing?” moments. But after diving deep into AI, co-founding an AI platform, and seeing its power to give us back our time and humanity… I knew I couldn’t ignore it. And neither can you.

This episode is your official orientation to the new Entrepreneur School. I’m pulling back the curtain on why this change is happening now, what it means for you, and how we’re going to navigate this new world together—without the hype, hustle, or losing ourselves in the process.

If you’re ready to build a business that feels like you in a world that’s changing faster than we can keep up, you’re in the right place.

In this episode, we’re unpacking:

  1. The new mission: How we’re using AI to build more human-centered businesses, not less.
  2. What you can expect from the show moving forward (think real-time strategy, AI-forward guests, and behind-the-scenes looks at my own founder journey).
  3. My personal story of going from a communicator to co-founding a tech company (it’s a wild ride).
  4. Why this isn’t a pivot away from the show’s core values, but a deeper commitment to them in a new context.
  5. The one belief that’s guiding this entire next chapter: avoiding AI doesn’t protect you, but being intentional about it does.

Kelly Sinclair:

AI isn't coming. It's already here. Avoiding it does not protect your humanity. Being intentional about how you adopt it does. And that is the space that I'm stepping into more fully. That's the work that I feel called to support, and that's what this next era of entrepreneur school is going to explore.

Kelly Sinclair:

Welcome to the next evolution of the podcast entrepreneur school in the AI era. We are here to figure out how to integrate AI into the business you've worked so hard to build in a way that still feels like you. I'm your host. Kelly Sinclair, award winning marketer turned AI platform co founder, AI has fundamentally changed how I thought about work systems and what's actually possible. This show is about navigating that new reality together. It's going to be a wild ride, my friend, but I truly believe there's a way to leverage AI in a way that's intentional, human, centered and aligned. It's an ongoing evolution. So let's explore, because AI may just be the unlock you need to achieve the life first business you truly desire.

Kelly Sinclair:

Hey, Hey, and welcome back to entrepreneur school. Now, before we get into today's episode, I need to pause for a second and celebrate something really big. Because, first of all, we don't celebrate ourselves enough, right? And this show has officially hit three years on the air, which honestly feels a little wild to stay out loud. And interestingly, you may have noticed if you are a consistent listener. Last week was the first time in three years that I intentionally did not release an episode. It wasn't because I was burnt out or I didn't know what to say, but it was because I've been sitting with a shift that felt important enough to slow down for and I wanted to give it the space that it deserved before sharing it with you.

Kelly Sinclair:

So today's episode is a bit of an orientation, because entrepreneur school is officially stepping into the AI era, and I want to talk about what that actually means, why it's happening now, and why, even though this might look like a change on the surface, it's actually deeply aligned with the work that this show has always stood for. So today's conversation is about where business is heading, how I'm moving through that shift personally, and how this podcast is evolving alongside it in a way that keeps humans autonomy and real life at the center. So if you have been listening for a while, thank you so much for being here. If you're newer around here, welcome. You're jumping in at just the right time. So we're going to talk about what is changing on the show. Why? What you can expect as a listener, and all of those good things. So first of all, new name, right? Ish, new name. Ish, entrepreneur school in the AI era. I want to start by, just like reading you essentially the new description of the show, so you can get a sense of what we are trying to do over here. So this is a podcast about how entrepreneurs build businesses that still feel like them in a world that is changing fast. This show exists to help founders navigate the reality that AI is now part of how work gets done without sacrificing integrity, creativity or humanity in the process. It explores how entrepreneurs operate in this new era, using AI as a tool to create more time, capacity and clarity so they can focus on the work that only humans can do. At its core, the podcast answers one central question, and that is, how do I build a business that still feels aligned with who I am now that everything is changing. So the show blends strategic thinking, real life examples behind the scenes, insights into how modern entrepreneurs are redesigning systems, decisions and growth. It is intentionally anti hype, anti hustle and positioning AI as an enabler of better business design and not a

Kelly Sinclair:

replacement for human creativity, judgment or connection over time, the podcast naturally leads into deeper application through platforms and systems that help entrepreneurs implement what they're learning in ways that are secure, values aligned and sustainable.

Kelly Sinclair:

Entrepreneur school in the AI era is not a show where we get into all of the details and the technical side of AI, but it's just about really learning how to OP. Create your business well, protect what matters and stay relevant in the world that we're actually living in now. So I want to break down a little bit of what I picture as far as types of episodes that you can expect, and how I'm sort of framing when I'm thinking about the editorial side of things in producing this show.

Kelly Sinclair:

So first and foremost, lots of operating in the AI era type episodes which are strategic, perspective driven, and help you as a listener understand how entrepreneurship is changing. So some of the focus areas there would include how work, time and decision making or shifting where entrepreneurs are leaking energy and capacity what AI should and should not be used for designing businesses that protect integrity and humanity, navigating the fear, resistance and overwhelm around AI. I want to have the conversations around the thought process behind adopting this technology and the challenges that you may be coming up against, the things that are absolutely valid to consider, and how different people are navigating those things. I also am going to bring on some AI forward leaders. So guest episodes, which are conversations with people who are already integrating AI in intentional and human centered ways. That's really the same. I'm looking for people who are not just talking about, okay, AI is here. Let's do more of everything, and do it faster and lose touch with the, you know, the human side of what we currently do in our business. I I'm not into that, so that's just not where we're going. We want conversations here that help you to see how the guests are thinking about AI, not just what tools they're using, but what has changed once they've adopted AI more deeply what they've stopped doing, maybe what surprised them, and certainly what boundaries and non negotiables that they have set for themselves, and thinking about the context and the applications that they are using it for, because there are so many different use cases, and it's really, truly valuable to See outside of yourself, how other people are using it and how they're making those decisions as well.

Kelly Sinclair:

I'm also going to do a lot of behind the scenes and like thought process episodes where I'm reflecting on my perspective on this evolution, talking a lot about the platform that we're building, and conversations that we're having with people who are using it and that kind of thing that will be coming out eventually. And I also see myself doing more YouTube as well, where some of these episodes have more visual components that might be a little bit more demonstrations just to show what's possible, where we can talk about how AI can work in real business contexts. So demos, walkthroughs, workflows, I feel like I'll do like, how I'm using AI, some really specific examples, like how I used AI this week, what this actually looks like, that kind of thing. And the other thing that's important here too is I really intend on having this be a very in real time podcast, so as I have been starting to step more into this space and doing speaking engagements and podcasts on other people's shows and things like that. One of the things that I find is it's incredibly hard to to batch this like I can't create content right now and assume that it's going to still be relevant in a month or even a couple of weeks time. So I'll be very much doing in real time recordings, which is a whole change for my workflow, but I think it's really necessary so that you're getting the most like recent information and insights in the context of how things are changing, because things change so dang fast, it is a little insane. And, you know, we don't really always know when these changes are coming, so we have to be a little bit more reactive there. So that's part of the commitment that I'm making with the way that the show will be produced, so that you're really just getting stuff that's that's relevant and timely.

Kelly Sinclair:

So okay, now the question, in case you are new here, why are we making this shift? Why now? Why do we have to like, why is it all about AI, now? And believe me. I have gone through plenty of, you know, personal struggle to step into this role. It feels very weird for me. I have a PR degree like I am a communicator. I that's what I do. I do branding and visibility and marketing, and that's what I have become known for. And the thing is, I just started using AI because I saw it as a really important and helpful tool to really bring the strategic things that I was doing together with implementation. So I've talked about this in previous episodes before, and that's really like where I started my AI journey, which I just got, like, really into it and really enjoying it, and learning a lot and doing some advanced things with the technology, that I also started to find some frustrations in the ways that it wasn't doing what I wanted it to. And also just, you know, how are we like zooming out and thinking back into, how are we really considering the impacts of what this technology means for the world, which is a huge place to be playing in. But I started having conversations, coffee chats with who is now my business partner, Andrew, in town here where I live, and we started talking, and eventually that just turned into, okay, well, let's fix all these problems, and let's do this, and let's do this from a space of really trying to ensure that there is a perspective that is brought to the world where AI can be a supportive tool, something that actually enhances us as human beings, rather than takes away our humanity, removes the connection that we have. Like there's already so many things that are doing that right that are causing us to be less connected more on our phones, have mental health issues, all of those things, and so Andrew and I are building a new AI platform that is honestly like an integration and AI operating system And a tool that supports

Kelly Sinclair:

human first AI adoption in businesses, small businesses and enterprises as well.

Kelly Sinclair:

So you're going to hear about that as that comes out into the world, which is very soon happening. So today I'm recording this on January 22 and and I'm anticipating that, you know, in just over a month, or to two months at the most, we're having a very different conversation about what's available and how that could be supportive for you and your business. So you can expect to hear more there, and just really, like, on the personal side, stepping into a position where I'm helping people to think about the ways that they want to implement AI, how does this work for your business? Where are the places where it can be really helpful, and how does that actually allow you to sort of redeploy your own capacity into other things and make what you're doing even more valuable and more exciting and interesting to the people that you work with, right? So that's really, that's kind of the vision, why this is the podcast is supporting that vision, and where we're going on the business side, and I will be sharing that founder's journey along the way, and all of the battles with with imposter syndrome and everything else, because the thing is, like, there's no blueprint for this, right? Like AI is entirely new, like the industry, the technology is only a few years old to begin with, so it feels a little weird to even just put up your hand and say, I'm an expert in this, but also, there are plenty of people who are doing that who have the exact same amount of experience. So just to say to you, if you're listening to this, and it's something that you're starting to see like, really evolve into the way that you do work, and it becomes part of like, if you are a business strategist or coach, it's just a reality that we now have to deal with. We can't ignore it. You can't not address it, right? You don't have to become the expert who teaches it entirely, but we definitely have to start incorporating how this is used and how it applies to the people that you work with,

Kelly Sinclair:started my business, back in:Kelly Sinclair:

So that's what's coming. That's what's coming for you on entrepreneur school, and as I wrap up, I want you to take this with you. So the mission of the show, it has not changed. I still care very deeply about helping you build a business that fits your life and not the other way around it. Oh my gosh, do we ever have the ability to do that with the technology that's at our fingertips right now, the time that we get back, and what we do with that time is entirely what allows us to create that lifestyle that we really want. The only thing that's changed is the context that we're all operating in, because AI isn't coming. It's already here. Avoiding it does not protect your humanity. Being intentional about how you adopt it does. And that is the space that I'm stepping into more fully. That's the work that I feel called to support, and that's what this next era of entrepreneur school is going to explore, and we're going to do it together. So the podcast is becoming a place to think in real time, to question things, to adapt thoughtfully and to make sure the technology we use actually gives us more capacity to be human and not less so. Thank you so much for being part of this community for the last three years, and thank you in advance for being open to where we're heading next. I'll see you in the next episode.

Kelly Sinclair:

Thank you for listening. If this episode got you thinking about how AI is impacting your business and what it might look like to integrate it in a way that actually fits. I'd love to help you think that through you can book an AI strategy chat using the link in the show notes. It's a space to talk about where you are, what's shifting, and how to move forward with intention. And if this episode was helpful, please share it with another business owner who's navigating this evolution too, and make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss what's coming next.
